It seems like it was just yesterday when I began this journal. But here we are, on the 50th entry. How time flies! Before I begin, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has come on this journey with me. I hope it has been both entertaining and informative. We’ve come a long way – when I wrote my first entry, we were just beginning our relationship with Arctic Fox. From there we have created multiple campaigns for the brand, worked with some new and exciting brands, and landed the Red Fort show, which will become a landmark moment in Humour Me’s history once it is completed.
A project like the Red Fort show (which we have finally created a name for, but I will reveal that later) is exactly the kind of work Humour Me strives to do. And recently, we took on another piece of work in this category that became more of a success than we had ever imagined – I’m talking about the music video we conceptualised and executed for Bhuvan Bam.
We were introduced to Bhuvan Bam when he became the brand ambassador for Arctic Fox. He liked the work we did with him for the brand, and later approached us to create a music video for a song he had recently composed.
We created a concept that was risky for a few reasons:
Its plot was not linear, which made it less direct and therefore easier to miss
It was shot mostly in black and white, which is always a gamble with modern audiences
The story was left open-ended, which meant more room for misinterpretation
We are always a little apprehensive when trying out new concepts, for fear that our audiences will not understand them. But we decided to stick to our concept, and thank goodness we did!
Within days of the music video being released, it shot up to the #2 trending video on YouTube, and the song was #3 on iTunes worldwide! We received thousands of comments praising the video, and our CEO has now started receiving messages from strangers asking him to ‘make them famous’.
We were thrilled at the response we received, especially since we have been working towards creating content like this for years. This music video might just be the boost we need to become a serious player in the entertainment industry.
We look forward to lots more exciting work to come, and I will continue to be the voice that keeps you informed on the goings on here at Humour Me. Thank you once again for your support, and stay tuned!
