Brief & Insight

Ajey Nagar a.k.a CarryMinati Asia’s numero uno creator approached us at Humour Me, with an audacious ask. He had been flirting with the idea of doing a long-format animated content on his channel as an MVP. The idea was simple - could we create the first Indian adult animated series that captured the imagination of young India like global IPs such as South Park and Paradise PD.

Our Approach

We had a rudimentary world of a motley crew of Gen Z characters which we uncannily named ‘The Uncanny Roaches’, which also became the name for this IP. Humour Me, helped bring CarryMinati's vision to life. From story development, multiple characters being brought to life on the page, to finally imaging and building the entire work for this animated IP, we did it all in this one-of-its-kind collaboration.

Key Results

Uncanny Roaches was featured as a 10-minute segment in ‘The Land of BigBoss’. The segment became the highlight of the episode and garnered a stellar viewership of 56 Mn. It also trended on subreddit pages for its tongue-in-cheek storytelling.
