About The Job

We are seeking a driven and experienced client services leader to join our business team.  This person would be responsible for managing key client relationships, leading new business initiatives, and growing a high-performance business team, based out of New Delhi.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The role of VP Account Management is more of a marketing and brand leader as opposed to an operations manager and key POC for our clients. We are looking for someone who comes with the knowledge, experience and confidence in taking on a business leadership role, and drive overall growth for the agency.
  • It is important to understand that we see this role as a marketing expert first. Being able to manage business operations is table stakes and a given. You represent the voice of the
  • Chief marketer officer, brand lead, head of digital from the client’s side within our four walls. You’re the `brain behind the output we produce in terms of content, advertising or communication.
  • The VP is the key person to shape final creative product we deliver and the brand KRAs are met. Simply put, for us you’re akin to the final decision maker. Whether a brand we work with succeeds or fails will be in your hands.
  • As the VP of Account Management you will be tasked with responsibility of winning and retaining new business. Creating yearly forecasts and ensuring you and your team’s OKRs all level up to a common quantifiable objective will be a crucial part of your job.
  • Leading the charge on all critical strategic discussions and building trust with C-suite executives and senior leadership folk on the client side for the brands we work will be one of the primary responsibilities of the VP of Account Management.
  • To build and train a team of account directors, managers and executives and develop our next generation of talent. At least 30% of your monthly time will be spent in building and training your talent. One of the responsibilities for this role will be to build a knowledge management charter to make learnings for new members sustainable and scalable.
  • The VP will be responsible to increase the output of each department in the agency. Predicting capacity utilisation and driving operational competencies becomes a crucial part of your role. Therefore, you need to be a project management expert. Using the best project management practices and tools should be second nature to you. Refining our systems and processes to deliver excellent work, with the best efficiencies, will be your KR to own.
  • Writing your team’s OKRs and reporting quarterly on their success to the senior management will be your responsibility. From driving appraisals, reviews, grievance management to your team’s satisfaction scores will be a major part of your role.
  • Leading pitch presentations for the agency for crucial new business pitches will be the responsibility of the VP of Account Management. From studying category specific market trends and reports, refining qualitative and quantitative insights, providing strategic marketing leadership to the creative team, whilst ensuring you become the ultimate voice of trust within the agency will be critical to your success at the agency.
  • Ensure all media campaigns that are being run for the brands you are responsible for by our partner media agencies are achieving client targets in terms of spends as well as delivering the best efficiencies.
  • Finally, this is not a delegate upwards role. You will be the final line of defence on your businesses. You need to do everything you can to learn, grow, pivot, experiment, and develop leadership level accountability. Being on top of your problems and finding the solutions to put out crucial fires will define how we view your success at the agency. Failure to act on potential problems is more of a red flag than acting and potentially failing. Swift decision making and driving outcomes will always trump effort in our eyes. Learn, fail fast and quickly move towards success, should be at the heart of how you operate.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing/Brand Management/Digital Marketing/Advertising with a proven track record in a leadership position with exposure to all functions of a creative agency.
  • Prior experience in building and maintaining strong long term client relations.
  • Proven track record of having achieved quantitative business success in your current role.
  • Proven track record in business networking, and keeping up to date with today’s digital marketing landscape.
  • Proven track record of having championed high decibel national noteworthy published campaigns for well known brands.
  • Proven ability to have built and trained teams, whilst fostering strong cross functional team-work.
