About The Job

The Creative Director (Art) is responsible for overseeing and guiding the creative team to produce cutting-edge visual content. This role requires a combination of artistic talent, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of branding and design principles. The Creative Director (Art) works in collaboration with other directors, including the Creative Director (Copy), to maintain cohesion in the narrative and visual elements across all creative outputs.

Roles & Responsibilities

Creative Leadership:

  • Lead and inspire a team of designers, art directors, and other creative professionals.
  • Develop and communicate a clear creative vision that aligns with the brand’s identity and business objectives.
  • Oversee the entire creative process, from brainstorming and concept development to final execution.

Concept Development:

  • Collaborate with clients or internal stakeholders to understand project goals, target audience, and messaging.
  • Develop innovative visual concepts, ensuring they are aligned with the overall brand strategy.
  • Present creative concepts to clients or leadership teams for approval and feedback.

Art Direction:

  • Provide hands-on art direction to ensure the highest level of creativity and execution.
  • Oversee design elements, including layout, color schemes, typography, and imagery.
  • Ensure consistency in visual style across all platforms, including digital, print, video, and social media.

Project Management:

  • Work closely with project managers to ensure creative projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively among the creative team.
  • Monitor the progress of projects, adjusting strategies and workflows as necessary.

Collaboration:

  • Partner with the Creative Director (Copy) and other team members to ensure that the visual and verbal elements work harmoniously.
  • Collaborate with external vendors (e.g., photographers, illustrators, production teams) to ensure cohesive execution of the creative vision.

Trend Analysis and Innovation:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, design innovations, and new tools to keep the brand’s creative output fresh and relevant.
  • Encourage the exploration of new creative techniques and mediums within the team.

Brand Strategy and Integrity:

  • Safeguard the brand’s visual identity and ensure that all creative outputs align with the brand’s guidelines and core values.
  • Adapt creative strategies to suit various platforms and formats while maintaining brand consistency.

Client and Stakeholder Relations:

  • Act as the main point of contact for creative-related discussions with clients or internal stakeholders.
  • Present creative work and justify design decisions with strategic insight.

Mentorship and Team Development:

  • Provide constructive feedback, mentorship, and support to creative team members, fostering growth and skill development.
  • Conduct performance reviews and help guide team members in their career development.
